Research materials relating to Robert Thompson Van Horn, mayor of Kansas City for three terms during the Civil War and editor of The Kansas City Journal. He also raised the first Union regiment in Missouri outside of St. Louis. The file includes Armitage's notes on Van Horn; a computer printout of a photograph of his grave; and a photocopy of early 20th-century newspaper.
