Tidwell conducted a fair amount of his research on Davis at the Chicago Historical Society. This file includes a photocopy of an Associated Negro Press (ANP) article by Davis titled "White Lawyer Boasts to Un-American Committee He Helped Break Up Honolulu NAACP"; photocopy of letters between Claude Barnett of ANP and J. Edgar Hoover of the FBI about postal workers spying on ANP; and a photocopy of the finding aid for the Claude A. Barnett papers with annotations by Tidwell.
