Brown to Davis; excerpt from Quindaro No 4-5 including Davis poem "Ours Is A Modern God"; Hawaii Committee for the Humanities mini grant application by English Bradshaw for project "Afro-American Literature and Art in Hawaii"; articles written by Davis and Dizzy Gillespie; correspondence between Davis and Lockwood Memorial Library about donation of I Am the American Negro manuscript; catalog of Lens Camera Club Salon of Photography 1942, in which Davis exhibited two works; invitation to Davis to become contributing editor of Negro Digest; invitation to Davis to join City of Chicago Mayor's Committee on Race Relations; and correspondence between Davis and Decker Press about publication of 47th Street.
