Original typescripts and photocopies of original typescripts for the following poems: "Egotistic Runt" , "I Bring Proven Gifts", "Louis Armstrong", "Public Servant", "Horizontal Cameos", "Coincidence", "Creed for Hedonists”, "For Militant Blacks", "Pacific Invasion", "Ours is a Modern God", "47th Street", "Alone", "To One Beloved", "Midsummer Morn", "Cabaret", "Miss Samantha Wilson", "Realization", "Editor Ralph Williamson", "Benjamin Blakey", and "Three Nuts to You". Includes three handwritten poems: "Black American", "Census Taker", and one untitled poem. Also includes a poster for a Davis poetry reading at the Korean Studies Center at the University of Hawaii on October 22, 1981 and a spiral-bound notebook containing the poem "Man and Universe" as well as a note from Davis's niece Lori. Some typescripts have annotations and corrections by Davis.
