Draft order of poems for Black Moods, with a number of original typescripts and handwritten poems amongst photocopies of typescripts. The poems are divided into nine sections: General, Hawaii, Horizontal Cameos, Beyond Life, Chicagoland, Jazz Scene, World War II, Faces of Love, and Ebony Under Granite. Includes original typescripts for "Ours is a Modern God", "Lynched", "Mental Man", "Man of Science", "Death", "Note Left By a Suicide", "War Zone", "To You", "Lines to a Summer Love", "Life is a Woman", and "To Lorelei", many with handwritten corrections by Davis. Includes handwritten original of "To Those Who Sing America". Also includes a letter to Tidwell from Beth Charlton dated May 31, 1991 about Davis articles in the Honolulu Record.
