Passage in the Starr Chamber, 17th century

 Series
Call Number: MS D152

Scope and Contents

Part of a collection containing 4 manuscripts. Separately written copies of law records, legal tracts, etc., bound together in a codex. Leaf [ii] is inscribed "Passages in the Starr Chamber agaynst Sr John Eliott: and other Parliament Gentlemen: 1629." Although this title presently appears to refer to the whole book, it seems that leaves [iii-vi] are interlopers, and that leaf ii previously immediately preceded p.1 and was part of item 1. The items do not all relate to Star Chamber matters.
