Scope and Contents

Henry Remple's personal materials span his early childhood through his retirement years. Included in this series are several diaries kept by Remple during his family's journey from Alexanderwohl to the United States (US), as well as during his transition to life in the US; materials relating to Remple's autobiographical book From Bolshevik Russia to America: A Mennonite Family Story; Remple's diaries from Tabor College and World War II; correspondence; materials from Eastern European history conferences; newspaper clippings; and materials from local and regional events.

Language of Materials

A number of materials relating to Remple's early life in Russia are written in German.
