Written from Yoxall Lodge, Lichfield, autograph letter signed, 2 pages (1 sheet) with autograph signed frank. To [?] Fawcett, the Reverend Mr. Carlisle. "I apologise for forgetting tha I was indebted to you for 2 years allowance for Mr Jackson's education; Dr. Milner reminded me; I enclose a draft for 21 pounds." With engraved portrait on thick paper of "Mr Wilberforce. Drawn by J. Stewart. Engraved by W. & P. Holl."
[Wilberforce was contantly helping persons in various difficulties, according to the Dictionary of National Biography, even overspending his income in 1801 by 3,000 pounds.]
