Scope and Contents

The Douglas County naturalization records held at the Spencer Research Library are declarations of intention to apply for United States citizenship. Each record shows name; address; age; race; sex; physical description; occupation; date and place of origin; date and place of arrival in U.S.; country renounced; names, ages and residence of children; date of declaration of intention; and orders in court granting or denying citizenship. Some records include photographs.
