Contains correspondence and papers related to the program "International Conversations" broadcasted on the University of Kansas' radio station KANU from 1953-1968. The program was sponsored by the Kansas Commission for United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
"International Conversations" was a series of interviews with foreign students attending KU. The programs were eventually broadcasted on 20-30 other radio station in Kansas starting in 1953. The subjects of the interviews on the program varied, but many were autobiographical interviews in which interviewees reflected on their lives, life in the United States, and world affairs.
Clayton M. Crosier was the former executive secretary and board member of the Kansas Commission for UNESCO. Over the years he was directly involved in the broadcasting of the interviews. This collection contains primarily his correspondence relating to his activities and the radio program.
