"Sorry I couldn't see you before I left London." Long account of illness and treatment on London-Rochester-Canterbury-Dover-Calais-Dunkirk journey. "...Feaver, in the heat of which, I found an unaccountable Itch..and my Nails not having been cut in 4 or 5 days before, no man that ever cross'd the Tweed enjoyed half the pleasure I did in Scratching my self...like a man in the Meazles.." Letter includes specific details of work on the basin; very little done. [Letter was previously bound following letter in folder A23.]
