General

Sorry I've sent no news; but "those people that make their escape dayly from us"; the Duke, our Governor, and Colonel Clayton brought an "exact account of the backward manner the French Execute their Treaty." Armstrong just finished blocking the harbour; the French engineers said it was impossible, but it has stood two tides. Armstrong ill; treating himself with imported Spa Water.
