- Creation: 1897
General
This photograph is the same as the previous image (B:1352), however the man on the far right wearing a badge has been cropped from the scene. A title on a matching 4" x 3.25" glass lantern slide image has the label "Mr. Blackman, Mr. Cutfinger and wife, Mr. Hail and wife." An enlargement of this image is in the oversize photographs (RH PH 75 (f), box 2, folder 1) with a description "Arapaho Indians/visitors to the Topeka Fall Festival 1897/from Darlington, Oklahoma Territory/ photographed and enlarged and matted by W. E. Culver, Topeka, Kansas/beginning at left to read their names are/ Bad Man, Cut Finger and Wife, Hail and wife."
The people in this image could also possibly be from the Modoc tribe (see note for B:1352).
