Scope and Contents
This sub-series contains miscellaneous materials regarding Harkness's personal pursuits and work in aging advocacy and include personal financial records, reference material associated with civic education and aging advocacy, personal and professional correspondence, directories, elderly services publications, notes and reference material regarding fundraising, travel brochures, certificates, newspaper clippings and publications about local Kansas events and senior issues, records about Harkness's work with Great Plains Baptist, material regarding the Scott City VIP Senior Citizen Center, and certificates for Erna (Guhl) Yates, a cousin of Mildred Harkness.
Material was arranged in rough alphabetical order by Spencer processing staff and groupings of "correspondence" and "newspaper clippings" were separated out by correspondent and general topic, respectively, for ease of access.
