Scope and Contents

This sub-series contains material associated with Harkness's work with Jayhawk Area Agency on Aging (JAAA) and includes bylaws, correspondence, financial and funding materials, "Kansas State Plan on Aging under Title III of the Older Americans Act," JAAA meeting minutes, newspaper clippings on aging issues, speaking notes, project proposals for senior service programs, and materials from local aging and health programs, including Meal on Wheels, the Jefferson County Health Department, Project LIVELY, and Douglas County Senior Services.

This sub-series also includes annotated copies of the Older American Act (OAA), fund applications to the OAA in 1994, and OAA reports and proposal summary sheets.

Material was arranged in rough alphabetical order by Spencer processing staff and groupings of "meeting minutes" and "Older Americans Act fund applications" were separated out and organized by year and fund application, respectively, for ease of access.
