Dwayne Sackman, the supervisor of records at the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, was asked to identify and give as evidence each of the records that were in his control having to do with Nick Rice. Many of the records were photographs taken on the night that Rice was shot, along with portions of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation’s file for case number 1-14958. These were all entered into the record for Douglas County District Court Case number 27,359, Harry Dollar Rice and Esther C. Rice vs. City of Lawrence, Robert Lemon et. al.
