1571: Two large brown mushrooms, gnawed by Phenacomys ?, in a spruce clump in the Eastern Bog. Mouse trap beside them. Dwarf birch, Ledum palustris, Grass, Sphagnum. 1573: Anoteelik and Mike pegging out Caribou hides on ridge above Windy River. 1575: F.H by his sleeping tent at the edge of an upland spruce thicket. (Snapped by Anoteelik.) Black spruce, Dwarf birch, Ledum palustris, Empetrum, Vitiredaca, Cladonia.
