1693: Charles Schweder and 5-year-old Rita with a night's catch of fish (chiefly whitefish) at the Fish camp, 2 miles above the mouth of Windy River. Willow and sedge nearby. Spruce and tamarack in distance. 1695: Barren Ground Caribou buck (estimated age, 27 years) (Specimen number 1111). On a gravelly and rocky ridge (barrens) at Mouth of Windy River. Dwarf birch, Ledum palustris, Empetrum, Vitiredaea, Arctostaphylus alpina. [Edited with strikeouts and insertion; published as Fig 22. in The Barren Ground Caribou of Keewatin.]
