Most of this series contains materials not by Magruder, unless otherwise noted. These materials came to the Spencer Research Library in notebooks, apparently compiled by Magruder, with heavily annotated segments of publications, often books, that he used for his research. Spencer staff disassembled the notebooks but retained each notebook's order and used Magruder's notebook titles as folder titles.
