Robert Hoffmann (1929-2010) taught zoology at KU, was director of the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, and was an administrator at the Smithsonian Institution. His wife Sally was director of visitor services at the Spencer Museum of Art and worked with the Smithsonian Traveling Exhibition Service.
