 Series

Scope and Contents

This series contains records associated with various research topics and interests Tuttle studied while at KU, including contemporary local events while he was a professor at KU. Research topics include but are not limited to (local) student protests, KU history, the history of race in Kansas, African American communities in Kansas, and African American history in Kansas and more locally in Lawrence and at KU.

The original titles and order provided by Tuttle were kept by Spencer staff except when clarifying acronyms. Additional research on African American history and racially-motivated violence in the broader United States is available in Tuttle's collection specifically focused on those topics, located at RH MS 1472 at Spencer Research Library.
