Photographs and negatives, 1910 - 1974

 Series — Box: 1-6
Call Number: RH PH 14

Scope and Contents

67 photographs and 1,050 negatives from Kansas Geological Survey field trips in Kansas, including trips taken by Professor Schoewe, 1920-1961 and Professor Dreyer, 1939-1953. The series also includes images of mines, quarries, and plants throughout the state.

The bulk of this series consists of negatives with some contact prints and textual material describing the images. The images are mostly organized chronologically (box 6 with 35mm negative strips is out of order); the first box includes prints that were apparently on display, perhaps in the Kansas Geological Survey's offices. Most of the images are of lakes, rivers, and geological formations around the state of Kansas.
