Crumbine award medal and plaque, and retirement paperweight, 1970, 1977
Scope and Contents
Box includes a Samuel J. Crumbine Medal (2.5" bronze medallion depicting a fly and a flyswatter, a mug, and a “don’t spit on the sidewalk” brick along with the words, “The Samuel J. Crumbine Medal Meritorious Service in Public Health, a Kansas Public Health Association Award May 14, 1970; Evan Wright.” The flip side has an image of Samuel Crumbine with a sunflower behind him);
Samuel J. Crumbine Award plaque (8x6" wooden plaque with a round bronze relief image of Samuel J. Crumbine with,” Samuel J. Crumbine Award” encircling the top of the image. The back of the plaque is covered in green felt); and
a glass paperweight with photograph of Betty Wright (2.75 x 4.25" glass paperweight over a color photograph of Betty Wright with a bouquet of red roses that she received from the Kansas Food Dealer’s Association. The Post Rock Summer 1977 edition features the same photograph with her husband Evan beside her receiving a plaque of appreciation at his retirement celebration).
