William, duke of Clarence (1765-1837), later William IV, king of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, and king of Hanover. Letter to “Dear sir” asking whether it is possible to support Mr. John Aylmer for appointment to a cornetcy, as requested in a letter received from Joseph Atkinson, the Army Agent in Ireland. Dated Saturday night, October 1807, Bushey House. Manuscript, ink on paper. 1 piece, folio leaf 24 x 19 cm (writing on 3 pages).
