Holmes, Oliver Wendell (1809-1894). Letter thanking unnamed correspondent for Christmas greeting and poem and also for speaking “so favourably of my most hospitable and friendly [entertainer?] Professor McAllister. That was a very agreeable hour I spent with Mr. Lawson Tait at Stratford on Avon.” Dated Jan 18, 1891, Boston. Manuscript, ink on paper. 1 piece, folio leaf 16 x 12 cm (writing on 1 page).
