Biography of Richard E. Scneder

Richard E. Scneder was born October 31, 1858 in the Hempfield Township of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania to Jonathan W. and Delilah Scneder. The family later relocated to the Fountain Township of Ottawa County, Kansas. Richard Scneder married in 1888, and settled with his wife Mattie in the Garfield Township of Jackson County, Kansas, where their three sons were born. In 1924, Scneder published his collected poems titled Incense: a Book of Modern Verse.
