History of the Kansas Association of Teachers of Science
The Kansas Association of Teachers of Science (Kats) was established in 1967 to bring together science educators from pre-schools through high schools, colleges, and universities to share ideas and techniques for teaching science. The mission statement for the organization is to promote science and excellence in science education for Kansas students. Kats is the District 11 chapter of the National Science Teachers Association (Nsta). The organization... holds an annual conference called the Kats Kamp that typically takes place at a campground.
