Overview

These six letters, received of San Francisco resident Mary MacKenzie, include five letters written from her husband John MacKenzie, a San Francisco stockbroker. He writes from LaHarpe (Allen County), Kansas regarding his activities and of various land and drilling interests there. His letters date from the fall of 1900 to spring 1901.

Biography of Mary MacKenzie

Mary MacKenzie was born in San Francisco, California about 1854 to Donald and Sarah McMillan, who were natives of Scotland. She married San Francisco stockbroker John MacKenzie, who was born in Scotland. They had two sons, Allister and Hugh.
