The Round Table Club of Lawrence is a ladies' literary club that was organized in 1880. This collection includes minutes, yearbooks, photographs, book review records, book plates, correspondence, and other records and objects related to the history of the club.

History of The Round Table Club
The Round Table Club of Lawrence, Kansas (also called the Round Table Literary Club) was founded by a group of women in 1880 with a purpose to study literature and other subjects of general interest to its membership.

Scope and Contents
The bulk of the collection consists of program books and secretaries' books, dating from the mid-1890s and mid-1880s respectively through all or most of the 20th century. These items provide a comprehensive review of what the club did and who its members were. One volume of meeting minutes is available at RH MS C38, but the bulk of these items are located at RH MS 1322.
The collection also includes photographs; articles by and about club members, including obituaries; and miscellaneous other programs, membership lists, notes, club histories, bookplate designs for "In memory of" book plates for books donated by the club, and related materials. In some instances multiple copies of annual program books may have been kept by Spencer due to handwritten annotations in the programs. The bulk of these materials are also located at RH MS 1322, but the photographs have been physically separated and are at RH MS-P 392.
