Jessica Mae Watts Elliott scrapbooks
Overview
The scrapbooks in this collection primarily contain clippings of poems, exercises, educational and religious passages, quotations, and epigrams. However, there are also occasional notes by Watts Elliott, hand-copied poems (not original), and stories. These collected clippings appear to be poems and prose used for student recitation, as lists of [student?] names accompany the scrapbooks. Terms and language used in the collection materials are representative of when the texts were created and have not been replicated in this finding aid.
