Overview

This collection comprises a scrapbook created by Kansas-based Welsh minister Emmanuel Jones in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The scrapbook contains documents, correspondence, newspaper clippings, and photographs relating to the life and work of Jones and his wife. The scrapbook was unbound and deconstructed in the 1980s for conservation purposes and has since been repaired, although it remains unbound.

Overview The scrapbooks in this collection primarily contain clippings of poems, exercises, educational and religious passages, quotations, and epigrams. However, there are also occasional notes by Watts Elliott, hand-copied poems (not original), and stories. These collected clippings appear to be poems and prose used for student recitation, as lists of [student?] names accompany the scrapbooks.
