The Gladys M. Garrison papers consist primarily of letters and postcards received by her and by her Garrison and Havens family members who resided in the Kansas communities of Salina, LeRoy, and Greeley from the early 1900s.

Robert H. Cunningham, a native of Indiana, moved to Anderson County, Kansas in the 1860s. These photocopied documents include an 1854 letter from Cunningham to his mother while still farming in Owen County, Indiana, and an 1865 warranty deed for purchase of Anderson County land after moving to Kansas with his wife and children.
