Emily Taylor was the University of Kansas' Dean of Women from 1956-1974 and was Director of the Office of Women in Higher Education at the American Council of Education in Washington, D.C. from 1975-1982. This collection contains awards, plaques, certificates, photographic materials, publications, personal papers, and clippings related to Taylor's career at KU and with the American Council of Education.

Spinsters Books and Webbery, Inc. was a non-profit women and children's bookstore and women's center collectively operated by lesbians in downtown Lawrence, Kansas during the 1980s. They also published a lesbian and feminist newsletter entitled Monthly Cycle. This collection includes this publication as well as a collection of women's newsletters from around the country, newspaper clippings, volunteer log books, correspondence and business records.
