This collection includes miscellaneous real property deeds and mortgages, tax and probate records, correspondence, and other miscellaneous items related to property mostly located in Cowley County, south-central Kansas, and mostly related to Margaret Jane Renfro Anderson's first husband, John Renfro, or second husband, John H. Anderson.

This collection consists of photocopied newspaper articles primarily from Winfield, Kansas between 1931 to 1938 relating to Ruben Menendez. Many articles are from the columns "Among Kansas Poets" and "The Observation Tower" written by Menendez, a Cuban who moved to Winfield by 1940. There are also clippings about the history of different community members and regarding events in which the Kansas Authors Club participated.
