Edith Clarke's papers include correspondence and genealogical material about her family; correspondence with many prominent Lawrence, Kansas citizens and University of Kansas professors; papers pertaining to the University of Kansas Library and other libraries in Kansas around 1900; personal financial records, bank statements and tax receipts; and numerous photographs, greeting cards, and calling cards.

Overview

Carrie Watson was a librarian at the University of Kansas from 1887-1921; the current main library building is named in her honor. This collection contains photographs, genealogies, correspondence, and a manuscript written by Watson.

Overview The University of Kansas Library began with the opening of the University in 1866, and was located in several buildings, including Old Fraser and Spooner Hall. The main library found its current location in Watson Library, named in honor of librarian Carrie Watson, in 1924.
