The Mennonite Bethesda Hospital was built in 1899 in Goessel, Kansas, another wing and a center was finished in 1917. The building served as a hospital and home for the aged. In 1928 a new hospital was built with the original building serving as the home for the aged. A new nursing home was built in 1969, a new hospital was built in 1973.
