Both Henry and Mariana Remple were heavily involved as plaintiffs in a lawsuit regarding a proposed rezoning of a section of Pinckney neighborhood, known colloquially as "The Bluffs," in Lawrence, Kansas. This sub-series includes minutes from relevant Douglas County Planning Commission and plaintiff meetings, correspondence, plats, legal documents, proposals, and agreements.

Following this suit, Henry and other plaintiffs joined together to form a short-lived nonprofit called the Lawrence Preservation Fund to improve city governance. The final seven folders relate to this initiative.
