1390: [from print] An outpost clump of stunted black spruce on a rocky Hill ('Pile o' Rocks') in the barrens, looking SE to Josie's Hill beyond Windy Bay. Apparently all the trees and shoots in this clump belonged originally to one connected system, developed from a tree... 1405: From Print: A dry, turfy or peaty tussock at the north end of Black Bear Slough -- habitat of Phenacomys and Dicrostonyx.
