History of the Lawrence Business and Professional Women's Club
The Lawrence Business and Professional Women's Club was a chapter of the State and National Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs. The Lawrence (Kansas) Business and Professional Women's Club was founded to improve the professional, personal, economic and educational outlook for women.
The group was organized in 1919 and became a part of the National Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Inc in 1922. Having served the interests of its members and its causes for over 75 years, the group voted to disband in 1995.
