Overview
Nora E. Crawford attended the University of Kansas from 1926 to 1930, studying under Albert Bloch and Raymond J. Eastwood and graduating with a bachelors in painting. The collection includes photographs of her along with classmates and professors at the University of Kansas; sketches she drew of human figures and nature; water color and ink wash paintings; and newspaper clippings about professors and classmates Nora knew from her time at KU.

Biography of Nora Crawford Blachly
Nora E. Crawford attended the University of Kansas from 1926-1930, earning her bachelors degree in painting. While at KU she studied under Albert Bloch, a noted Modernist, and Raymond J. Eastwood.
After graduation, Crawford taught art at Pratt Junior College. In 1931 she married Harlen B. Blachly of Nickerson, Kansas, who later served as the Pratt City Clerk. Harlen passed away in 1982, and Nora Crawford Blachly passed away in 2003.
