Scope and Contents Various items were found inside the "Tall Four" volumes. On the first page of the first volume there was a half-page legal pad note from Mary Gillispie Youngkin, whose estate donated the volumes, to a Dr. Huntress, and a response from him on the other side suggesting that she preserve it carefully as it may be the first novel written in Kansas. Other items include a blue ribbon that says “Reunion Soldiers of the Peace. Rebellion. U.S. Veterans, War of 1861 to 1865....
