Overview

The Guanetta Gordon Collection contains the work of a native Kansas poet and author, who was both that state's poet laureate and Arizona's Poet of the Year. The collection dates from 1953 to 1992 and is comprised of original manuscripts, worksheets, and drafts for the poems, articles, essays, and short stories written by Guanetta Gordon since 1953. The manuscripts in boxes 1-4 are arranged alphabetically by literary type.

Collection of correspondence and manuscripts sent circa 1964-1966 to Tom Clark (1941-2018), the poetry editor of the Paris Review from 1963-1973. Includes correspondence and/or manuscripts from approximately 45 writers, including among others Denise Levertov, Ed Dorn, Larry Eigner, Louis Zukofsky, Allen Ginsberg, Joanne Kyger, Robin Blaser, Charles Olson, and Ian Hamilton Finlay.

Overview Manuscript commonplace book inscribed to Sarah Maria Atkinson of Gortmore, Dundrum, Ireland by her aunt Mabella on April 22, 1859. Consists of 111 pages of English-language poems identified by title and/or author, followed by an inverted 2-page table of contents. Inscriptions and poems seem to be written in the same hand, probably by an adult.
