Albert A. Reichert, who lived for many years at Seneca, Kansas, was a veteran of the Spanish-American War, serving with the 22nd Kansas Volunteer Infantry Regiment. These papers include several of his letters of 1898, written to his parents of Holton, Kansas while he was posted at military camps in Virginia and Pennsylvania. His papers contain a small quantity of additional correspondence and his wife's funeral notice of 1951.
The Clifford and Mary Margaret Shumaker Papers include their educational diplomas and pedigree charts, as well as papers and photographs from the lives of Mary Margaret Shumaker's Bouse, Nichols, Little, and Clark family ancestors, many of whom resided in or near the Kansas communities of Centralia, Denison, Holton, and Almena.
