Overview

Albert A. Reichert, who lived for many years at Seneca, Kansas, was a veteran of the Spanish-American War, serving with the 22nd Kansas Volunteer Infantry Regiment. These papers include several of his letters of 1898, written to his parents of Holton, Kansas while he was posted at military camps in Virginia and Pennsylvania. His papers contain a small quantity of additional correspondence and his wife's funeral notice of 1951.

Overview Russell R. Funk, a native of Nemaha County, Kansas, moved to Lemoore, California in the early part of the 1900s, where he practiced dentistry and played professional baseball. Funk's letters to his parents in Nemaha County's town of Kelly, which include letters to them from his wife, describe events in Funk's family life, dental practice and baseball career.
