Merwin Graham attended the University of Kansas and was a member of the KU track team. In 1924, Graham competed in the triple jump at the Olympic Games in Paris, France. In all, Graham earned over 60 medals and was elected to the Drake Relays Hall of Fame. This collection consists of cartoons drawn by Myron A. Waterman and news clippings about a Waterman drawing of Lincoln. Waterman held a variety of occupations throughout his life, including establishing and editing the Fort Scott Lantern and serving as deputy state bank commissioner for the state of Kansas from 1894-1901. He was a staunch prohibitionist and married the sister of Reverend Charles M. Sheldon.
