Herd family papers
These are the family papers of Harold Shields Herd, former Kansas Supreme Court Justice, and his wife, Margaret "Midge" Zoe Rich Herd. Included are extensive correspondence and photographic files from her father, Horace "Hod" Hakes Rich, and considerable material about life in Comanche County, Kansas. The Herd family has several branches in southwestern Kansas.

The Herman T. Jones papers are those of a long time Kansas resident who was an educator at Western University and Kansas Vocational School during the 1930s-1940s and at Prarie View University and Training School (Texas) from the 1950s-70s.
Herman Teerink collection
The collection consists of 4 letters (handwritten, signed, 9 pages total) from Teerink to P.S. O'Hegarty. Also in the collection are 4 offprints of articles by Teerink on Swiftian bibliography and some articles regarding collections/exhibitions of materials concerning Irish author Jonathan Swift, including clippings from booksellers' catalogs. Teerink was attempting to find certain rare items from Swift and enlisting O'Hegarty's help.
Hester Buell papers
This collection contains the many poems and other writings of Tescott, Kansas librarian Hester Buell (1900-1993), which include her remembrances and memorabilia of her brother Harold and sister Helen. Within the collection correspondence are Miss Buell's letters from Wint Smith (U.S. Congressman from Kansas, 1947-1961).
Hiat-Hett Family Genealogical Record Collection
This collection contains genealogical notes, author unknown, regarding the Hiat-Hett genealogy, members of whom settled in Douglas County, Kansas. This collection also contains two matted photographs, one of a member of the Hiatt family, dated as 1879, and an undated photo of an oil well from the Topeka Union Oil and Gas Syndicate.
Hidden places: the Mexican Fiesta broadcast tape
This single tape, Hidden Places : the Mexican Fiesta, May 25, 1984, describes the Chanute, Kansas, Mexican Fiesta in Santa Fe Park during it's 66th anniversary commemorating the establishment of Mexican independence September 15 and 16, 1810. This fiesta is believed to be the oldest fiesta in Kansas.

"Historia Flagellantium de recto et perverso flagrorum usu apud Christianos" manuscript
This is a manuscript draft dated 1691 for Jacques Boileau’s book, Historia Flagellantium. De recto et perverso flagrorum usu apud Christianos (Paris: Joseph Anisson, 1700). The manuscript consists of text written in one hand, with marginal notes and insertions added in a second hand, both apparently the hands of Boileau’s secretaries. The marginal notes and insertions were incorporated in the 1700 edition.
