Ledger of accounts for hardware business Smith and Case Company, organized by Horace J. Smith in Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas in 1866. The ledger provides documentation about work performed and costs, as well as names of local businesses and indivdiuals with whom the company worked.
Social Service League records
Founded in 1863 to help survivors of victims of William Quantrill’s raid, the Social Service League serves low-income families and individuals of Douglas County, Kansas, and operates a thrift shop. The collection is comprised of two volumes, dating from 1929-1939, which contain the minutes of meetings, financial information, clippings and a 1937 photograph of the thrift shop.
Sol Stolowy papers
Sol Stolowy, a emigrant from Poland, worked as a Kansas City Garment Company tailor beginning in the late 1920s, ending as the owner of the Company and overseeing its closing in 1982. This collection includes a volume of pen sketches of garment designs, photographs, newspaper clippings and correspondence.

Berkley collection, this 505-page manuscript volume titled Speeches in Parliament, 1627-1628 [new style 1628-1629] contains (according to the enclosed letter written in 1732 by Henry Richardson, who then owned the manuscript): “Speeches, Arguments & Debates in Parliament, chiefly relating to the famous Petition of Right, by some of the most eminent Men of that Time, Sir Edward Coke, Mr. Selden & many others.”
