These are comprised of personal papers, correspondence, bills and receipts of J. B. and Elizabeth Miller Watkins. The contents of this series are arranged chronologically with several subject folders placed within the order. The bulk of these materials are detailed household accounts dating from 1911 to 1921.

This series is comprised of random and miscellaneous groups of materials that cannot be termed as business-related. Instead they afford a glimpse into the personal and domestic lives of J. B. Watkins and later, Mr. and Mrs. Watkins. It should be noted that Elizabeth Watkins' papers are a function of her role as owner of the Outlook, her grand home atop Mount Oread.

Other features of the series include materials from the Battle Creek Sanitarium (1906-1907), various stock certificates owned by Watkins, a will written by J. B. Watkins (1909), and detailed information on the J. B. Watkins estate (1921).
