Letter to William Shaw Mason
From Holles Street in Dublin, Ireland, Edward Litton (1787-1870), master of the Irish court of chancery and a member of Parliament for Coleraine, writes to William Shaw Mason (1774-1853), bibliographer and statistician, about Mason's interest in an illuminated missal. Litton confirms the missal's authenticity and offers it to Mason, who will care for and value it more than Litton himself does. There is a partial red wax seal attached to the letter.

Drummond from Derby, England writes to William Stark (1788-1863) at the Dye Office, St. George, Colgate, Norwich, to let him know that his prospectus may be viewed at the office of Norwich publishers Stevenson and Matchott. Stark was a member of the Geographical Society and the Norwich Philosophical Society and was the President of the local Phrenological Association.

This collection contains an undated handwritten letter to "Wilma" from "K.H.C.", apparently a resident at 1201 Oread, Lawrence, Kansas. The collection also contains a photograph of a group of girls, circa 1920-1930.
Letter written by Deschamps
This letter, signed by "Deschamps sindic" [i.e. syndic] was found in the pages of the book Mémoire à consulter, pour la communauté des habitants de la Guillotière, & mandemant de Béchevelin. It was written from La Guillotière to "Monsieur" on November 3, 1786. This covering letter accompanied the copy of the "Mémoire" and invited the recipient to participate in the deliberations of the assembly.

This collection includes 2 manuscripts by the 18th century politician, John Wilkes. One is written by John Wilkes from the Hague in the Netherlands, December 17, 1767, to the man-of-letters, Jean Baptiste Antoine Suard, 1734-1817 [in France]. The other is a fragment of a manuscript dateable to circa 1774 based on the signatures it bears, "John Wilkes Mayor" and "Tho[ma]s Hallifax."
