The Caldwell family papers are those of an African American family from Salina, Kansas. The majority of the papers concern Robert C. Caldwell, who was a Salina teacher, City Commissioner, and Salina's first African American and first school teacher elected Mayor. He also served as Representative for Salina in the Kansas State Legislature.
Robert C. Wilson collection

Wilson, scripts, lists, and other materials related to Wilson's career in and passion for popular music of the 20th century. Much of the collection relates to Wilson's magazine King Harvest Review of the 1970s and his radio show and news column "New Melody Ranch" of the 1990s.

Military and naval documents, including some printed forms, collected by Robert Cole, who died approximately 1866. Most are military or naval orders, warrants, reports, etc.; most are related to the Ordnance Office, to other military supplies, or to the Barrack Office. Some items do not concern supplies, and a few are non-military, although written by military figures. Most items are written by a clerk and signed by the issuer; many are also countersigned.

Robert Cunningham letter and warranty deed
Robert H. Cunningham, a native of Indiana, moved to Anderson County, Kansas in the 1860s. These photocopied documents include an 1854 letter from Cunningham to his mother while still farming in Owen County, Indiana, and an 1865 warranty deed for purchase of Anderson County land after moving to Kansas with his wife and children.

Robert E. Jenks was a University of Kansas graduate and successful Kansas City area architect. This collection contains architectural designs for both private and public facilities, mostly in the Kansas City area on both the Kansas and Missouri sides, dating from 1932-1977.
Robert Ernest Willman World War II letters
In this collection are more than five hundred World War II letters written from U.S. Army Private Robert Ernest Willman to his parents, Fred and Georgia Willman of Lawrence, Kansas. The collection also contains a scrapbook of letters received by the Willmans from other Lawrence, Kansas residents who served in World War II, including more than sixty letters from Georgia Willman's brother, U.S. Army Corporal William C. Bryant.

Robert F. Bennett served as Kansas State senator from 1965-1973; Bennett was later elected as the state's Governor, serving in that capacity from 1974-1978. This collection of his papers includes materials relating to Bennett's service on various legislative committees, correspondence with constituents, and related materials.
