The letter addresses the collapse after the ‘boom’ of 1888 and the difficult financial situation of the bank. Rush asks that shareholders vote on a proposal to reduce capital, which would reduce tax and recover loses over time.

The Kansas Grassroots Art Association (KGAA) of Lucas, Kansas was organized in the 1960s to preserve and promote grassroots art. The KGAA is closely associated with S. P. Dinsmoor's cabin and artwork, the Garden of Eden, which is also located in Lucas. This collection contains two folders with three newspaper articles, thirteen postcards and one brochure about the KGAA and the Garden of Eden.
